Life's Question is a hardcore band that originated in Chicago and I am unsure of where the band lives now. The band combines all forms of your usual hardcore, threading thrashy and metallic instrumentals with melodic riffs. Life's Question on the surface may sound like any other hardcore band but they blend so many elements that are not usually mixed together. The artwork for the band's release A Tale of Sudden Love and Unforgettable Heartbreak features the Chicago L Train with Willis Tower featured in the background previously known as the Sears Tower. For the release of A Tale of Sudden Love and Unforgettable Heartbreak in 2019 the band was signed to New Morality Zine, a hardcore record label from Ohio. As of the release of Life's Question's Promo 2022 and the band's new album World Full Of... also released in 2022 the band has been signed to Triple B, which is located in Boston, Massachusets. The band's 1st release on Spotify Cursed the Will to Dream was signed to Destined 2 Burn records out of Northwest Indiana. The photo above features guitarist Abby Rhine singing backup vocals as lead vocalist Josh Haynes cheers her on while at a show at the Archer Ballroom in Chicago. Life's Question played with One Step Closer, Soul Blind, and two Chicago hardcore bands LURK and Si Dios Quiere. The last time I saw Life's Question was back in 2021 when they played at the Chi-Town Futbol League with Fiddlehead, Militaire Gun, Dare, and Si Dios Quiere. That was my first big hardcore show and the entire performance blew my mind. Everything from Life's Question absolutely tears it up but more specifically the band's Demo especially their song The Pressure is my personal favorite. Life's Question may be tough to answer but there isn't any question about whether you should be listening to Life's Question cause you definitely should be.
