Discrepancy

Discrepancy comes flying out the gate with fast-paced songs driving home a positive message. Discrepancy is a straight-edge youth crew band from Orange County, California. They have released two EPs and are signed to Youngblood Records which is based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Youngblood Records has signed a large amount of other straight-edge bands as well. Discrepancy has a very well-developed sound that stretches across both of their EPs. Discrepancy's Where the Strength Lies Demo was released in 2014 with their final EP Thoughts Are Things being released in 2017. They were one of the bands that got me into hardcore and their music has stayed in my core rotation even to this day. The message brought across by their lyrics is a positive message based around the struggles of being straight-edge but also the ideas of being an individual and accepting others' decisions and life choices.
