Big Laugh

Big Laugh is a midwest hardcore band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin that was recently added to the roster of bands signed to Revelation Records. The band has a surprisingly high number of monthly listeners for most hardcore bands. They have headlined several times at the Milwaukee Hardcore Summer Jam which is hosted at the X-Ray Arcade in Cudahy, Wisconsin. I saw them just this last summer for the first time at the Summer Jam where they put on an amazing performance and helped rope me into the hardcore scene. Just a few months later I would watch them play at Noise Together, a recording studio in St. Francis, Wisconsin. When it came time for Big Laugh's performance the entire set started falling apart from the chaos of the crowd. There were speakers and indoor trees/plants falling over what seemed like everywhere. The show was a lot of fun and probably one of the smallest spaces I've ever seen a show in. Members of Big Laugh run a record store in Milwaukee called Blast Radius which I have visited and I must say it is a cool setup that they have. Big Laugh has a powerful and chaotic sound that helps build the intensity within their songs. It is crazy to see what seems like such a small local band gets picked up by such a big label.
