Whenever I'm watching twitch and the open a new tab/change to another, the twitch stream always stops loading when I go back to the twitch tab it resumes playing. This started since the last time firefox updated.

I have the exact same issue and can replicate it alot of times, I can also confirm with my setup 3 screens, if i open 2 twitch streams open the "advanced stats" on both, and start em at the same time and tap into a 3rd tap, i have no stuttering, but if i focus eaither of the taps with a player in em the one not in focus looses its ability to load the video feed, and the buffer size stops filling up, if i quickly tap away from the player thats droping to other player or the third none player tap it instantly starts buffering again with no issue. The issue only seems to trigger the second the player window is not "alone" and not in focus

This code above will just continually play 2 notes over and over again.

To quickly use the code, I download jquery and Tone.js from npm, bundle the above js with browserify, add the bundle to an html file, load that onto twitch, load in chrome on live channel, the 2 notes play, load in firefox, no sound.

Hey, I'm trying to do hardware acceleration with my nvidia card, and I think my X11 is using it, but I can't get it working on firefox. The only place I notice it is Twitch, youtube seems to play fine. I looked all around the wiki and other forums and couldn't find anything.

For the steps I took: I cloned the git version from AUR, then installed the 3 needed packages (look bellow), ran makepkg, then sudo pacman -U *.tar.*

Then I set the options the github mentioned in my firefox about:config, and I also added the environment variable I needed to, which I also confirmed using printenv.

Yes, I ran sudo pacman -Syu before installing gst-plugins-bad, because it wouldn't let me otherwise.

Did you run a full update and does nvidia-settings still crash?

Then check nvidia-smi while playing a Twitch video, though youtube being fine and vaapi now working (did you try to use it explicitly on mpv as progandy suggested?) it's increasingly likely a "twitch sucks" thing.

You should also check what FF thinks about your config in "about:support"

Amd ryzen 5 3600 + rx 5600 xt google earth and twitch videos so laggy. I think hardware acceleration problem. On chrome and chromium based browsers no problem. Just firefox effected. How can I solve this ? My amd screen driver version 21.10.1 .

I have a problem to login on twitch with selenium. After the bot has entered the credentials (I also tried to enter them manually) the error message appears:"Something went wrong. Please try again." And it won't let me in.

For new flatpak users its (at least in my humble opinion) totally unclear that the ffmpeg-full extension has to be installed for a good video playback. The only hints on this extension are given in some forums, some bugzilla firefox bugs and the metadata of the flatpak file. And these are places you can not expect novice users to check before installing firefox.

it might be an issue with firefox still being singlethreaded by default. go into about:config and change "dom.ipc.processCount" to the number of threads on your cpu, then restart firefox and see if it helps

Yes, I get this problem even with the sample linked to on the challenge page. Clicking the link to ESL_SC2 just shows a black page. But opening a fresh tab and pasting the same address in works fine. Almost as if twitch.tv is treating requests differently if referrer is codepen.io/FreeCodeCamp/full/Myvqmo/ e24fc04721
