TV Tracker Privacy Policy
Last updated October 21, 2026
Summary
TV Tracker is an app by Autorpt LLC (“we”, “us”). It keeps track of the TV shows you star and tells you when new episodes come out. We collect as little as we can: your email address if you create an account, and the shows you star. The free phone app shows ads from Google AdMob, which collects information about your device to show and measure ads. We do not sell your personal information for money.
What we collect
Your account (optional): if you create an account, we store your email address and the shows on your Watchlist, so they appear on any phone or browser where you sign in. You can use the app without an account; then your Watchlist stays only on your device.
Your Watchlist and settings on your device: the shows you star and choices like sort order are saved on your phone or in your browser.
Notifications: if you allow notifications in the phone app, it sends our server a push address for your phone (created by Google and Expo so alerts can reach it), the IDs of the shows on your Watchlist, your notification settings, your time zone and whether it is an Android phone or an iPhone. We use these only to send your new-episode alerts. They are not linked to your name or email address.
News emails (optional): if you tick the box when creating an account, or turn on “TV Tracker news” on the Account screen, we may email you occasional news about TV Tracker. We record when you made that choice. You can turn it off at any time on the Account screen or with the unsubscribe link in any news email. We never send news emails unless you chose them.
We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services, and we do not collect your contacts, photos or precise location.
Ads
The free phone app shows banner ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address, approximate location (from the IP address), device and app information, and how you interact with ads. It uses this to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud, and, where you allow it, to personalize them.
Where privacy law requires it (for example in the EU, the UK and some US states), the app asks for your consent before ads load, and you can change your choice later with “Ad privacy choices” on the Account screen. On iPhone, the app asks for permission before Google can use your advertising identifier. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s settings.
How Google uses this information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Under some US state laws, showing personalized ads may count as “sharing” or “selling” personal information. You can opt out through Ad privacy choices or your phone’s ad settings.
The website version has no ads.
Services we use
Supabase stores accounts and Watchlists, and runs the server that sends alerts (https://supabase.com/privacy).
Expo and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging deliver push notifications to your phone (https://expo.dev/privacy, https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy).
Resend delivers the sign-in code emails (https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy).
Google AdMob shows ads in the phone app (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
TVmaze and The Movie Database (TMDB) provide show information and recommendations. The app contacts them directly, so they see your IP address and which shows are looked up, but not your email address (https://www.tvmaze.com/site/privacy, https://www.themoviedb.org/privacy-policy).
Our website’s hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the site.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your account until you delete it. In the app, open the person icon, then “Delete my account”: your email address and saved Watchlist are deleted right away. Email delivery records kept by our email provider are deleted on its own schedule.
Uninstalling the app or clearing your browser’s site data removes what is saved on that device.
Notification data (the push address, show IDs, settings and time zone) is deleted when you turn off notifications for TV Tracker and open the app, or after you uninstall the app, the next time we try to send it an alert. Records of which alerts were sent are kept for 3 days.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it, and you can withdraw ad consent at any time. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have more rights under local law, including complaining to your data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Children
TV Tracker is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections, and each account can only read its own Watchlist. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top. For important changes, we will also tell you in the app.
