The TV:Remote app is an AppleTV extension app for the Roon music player.

The application discovers and connects to your Roon Server*, allowing control over any enabled zones.

Installation

Launch your Roon Server.
Download and install the TV:Remote app from the TVOS App Store.
Launch the TV:Remote application.

The TV:Remote automatically discovers your Roon Core.
If mutiple Cores are found, select the appropriate core from the displayed list.

Once a Core has been discovered, the extension will appear in Roon.
Go to Settings->Extensions and you should see it in the list.

Application Settings

The TV:Remote offers some user configurable settings, accessible from the Roon Extension settings menu.

Settings > Extensions > TV:Remote > Settings

Settings include

Now Playing Type

Set the the layout for the Now Playing screen.

Show Now Play After

Set the time period before the Now Playing screen is shown

Animate Now Playing Text

Animate the Album / Artist text on the Now Playing screen

Allow ATV Screen Saver

Allow the ATV to display its screen saver.

Additional settings can also be found in TVOS Settings -> Apps -> TV:Remote menu.

Roon Core Name

The selected core name used by discovery.

Connect using Core IP Address

Disabled discovery and connects using the Core IP Address.

Core IP Address

If automatic discovery fails and you know the IP Address of you core you can enter it here.
