Privacy Policy for Pure TV Pro
Argoshift ("we", "us", or "our") built the Pure TV Pro application as an Ad-Supported application. This SERVICE is provided by Argoshift at no cost and is intended for use "as is".
1. Content and Public Streams Pure TV Pro provides an organized directory of publicly available, free-to-air (FTA) television streams from around the world.
No Hosting: Argoshift does not host, broadcast, or re-transmit any of the media streams found in the default catalog. We simply act as a search and directory tool linking to freely available public content on the internet.
User-Generated Content: The application also features a "Playlist Manager" allowing advanced users to import their own M3U playlists. We do not endorse or monitor the content added manually by users, and users are solely responsible for the playlists they import.
2. Data Collection and Local Storage To provide a premium and seamless experience, Pure TV Pro processes certain data locally. All user data is stored strictly locally on your device's internal database (Room DB).
Playlists, Favorites, and EPG: Your selected countries, favorite channels, custom M3U URLs, and XMLTV data are saved locally. We do not sync this data to any external servers.
Playback History: To enable the "Continue Watching" feature, the app locally stores timestamps and playback positions.
Parental Control: The 4-digit PIN code used to lock specific categories is securely hashed (SHA-256) and stored locally. We cannot recover a lost PIN for you.
3. Third-Party Services and Advertising The app utilizes third-party services that may collect information used to identify you, primarily for serving personalized advertisements and analyzing app performance.
4. Device Permissions Required
Internet Access: To stream the live media and fetch metadata.
Foreground Service & Wake Lock: To ensure uninterrupted media playback, allow background casting to external screens (Chromecast), and prevent the screen from turning off.
