Upcoming Events

• Stake Temple Recommend Interviews: The stake presidency will conduct temple recommend interviews from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m on on July 12th, 19th and 26th. With an extra day on Thursday, July 16th, from 7:00-8:00 p.m.

  • •  No appointments are needed, except for first-time recommends or weddings. Those appointments should be made with Executive Secretary Andy Johnson at 801-550-8559. Please come to the stake center and wait in the chapel, where a stake presidency member will come and get you.

• Single Adult Fireside (35+) — 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 12th, at the west chapel on 3676 West 4700 South. The fireside will feature Elder K. Bruce Boucher, who will speak about recent changes to the single adult program in the Utah area and how single adults can strengthen their faith in Christ.

• Temple and Family History Leaders Meeting — 3:00 p.m Sunday, July 12th, in the High Council room of the stake center. This meeting is for all ward Temple and Family History Leaders, along with Elders Quorum and Relief Society counselors assigned to temple and family history.

• Temple Cleaning Assignment — Our stake has been invited to clean the Taylorsville Temple during the week of July 13th. This assignment will be for endowed members who would be willing to serve between 9:45 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. on the nights below. Please come in Sunday dress.

• Neighborhood Swimming Nights — The stake will host free swimming nights at the Taylorsville pool for neighborhoods throughout our stake. Swimming is completely free. Water and Gatorade will be provided. Families can bring their own food. The Taylorsville pool will be open on the following nights for those who would like to come.

  • Saturday, July 18th — 6:30-8:30 p.m. — For the 12th, 16th, 26th and Meadow Heights wards

  • Friday, July 31st — 6:30-8:30 p.m. —For the 2nd, 11th, 17th, 23rd and Wheatland Park wards and branch.

• Stake Missionary Coordination Meeting — 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21st, in the stake High Council room. This meeting is for full-time missionaries, high councilors with missionary and temple assignments, a member of the stake relief society presidency and the stake presidency.

• Pioneer Day — Friday, July 24th.

• Stake Youth Council Meeting — 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 26th, in the stake High Council room. This meeting is for all members of the stake youth council.

• Mission Preparation — 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 26th, in the stake High Council room.

• Stake Music Meeting — 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30th, in the Relief Society Room of the stake center. This meeting will be for all ward music coordinators, accompanists and choir directors.

• Fast Sunday — Sunday, June 7th

• Stake Primary Service Project [LOCATION CHANGED]— 10:00-11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 8th at the west church building on 4932 S. 3200 West. This stakewide service project —planned, organized and carried out by children throughout our stake —will include a variety of projects for helping people in need. It is also part of a church-wide initiative, which calls on children around the world to come together and serve those in their communities.

• YSA Family Home Evenings: Family Home Evenings are held weekly for the young single adults in our stake. Those attending the Taylorsville YSA Ward meet Mondays at 7:00 p.m. at 3120 W. 4700 S. Those attending the Granger YSA Ward meet Mondays at 7:00 p.m. at 4586 W. Woodbury Circle.
