Universal TV Remote Control (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App is designed to work primarily on your local Wi‑Fi network
and does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use its core features.
1. SUMMARY
- We do NOT collect, sell, or share your personal information.
- We do NOT require an account or sign‑in.
- The App controls your TV and discovers devices over your local Wi‑Fi network.
- Your saved devices and settings are stored only on your device.
- The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect limited data as described below.
2. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
The App itself does not collect or transmit personal data such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, or files. We
do not maintain user accounts and we do not operate servers that store your information.
3. INFORMATION STORED LOCALLY ON YOUR DEVICE
To provide its features, the App stores the following only on your device (it is not uploaded to us):
- Saved TVs / devices: a friendly name, brand, and local IP address of TVs you connect to.
- Pairing credentials: the token or client‑key returned by your TV during pairing, stored locally so you are not prompted to pair again.
- App settings: preferences such as theme, vibration, auto‑connect, and your premium status.
You can remove this data at any time by deleting saved devices or by uninstalling the App.
4. INFORMATION COLLECTED BY THIRD‑PARTY SERVICES
The free version of the App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Ad providers may automatically collect certain information to serve and measure
ads, including a device advertising identifier, IP address, general (coarse) location derived from IP, and device and usage/diagnostic information. This
processing is governed by Google's policies:

The App also relies on Google Play services and Google Play Billing for the optional premium (ad‑free) upgrade. Purchases are processed entirely by Google
Play; we do not receive or store your payment card details.
5. PERMISSIONS AND WHY THEY ARE USED
- Network access (Internet, Wi‑Fi state, network state): to discover and communicate with TVs on your local network and to load advertisements.
- Nearby Wi‑Fi devices: to discover compatible TVs on your network. We do not use this permission to derive your physical location.
- Notifications: to show connection or status notifications (where applicable).
Permissions are requested only when needed and can be managed in your device's system settings.
6. HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS USED
Information stored on your device is used solely to provide the App's functionality (discovering, connecting to, and controlling your TV, and remembering
your preferences). Information collected by third‑party ad and platform services is used by those providers to deliver and measure ads and to operate
their services, as described in their privacy policies.
7. DATA SHARING
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Limited data may be processed by Google AdMob
and Google Play services as described above.
8. DATA SECURITY
Because the App stores its data locally on your device and does not transmit personal data to us, your information is protected by your device's own
security. Communication with your TV occurs on your local network. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through ad services, please contact us.
10. YOUR CHOICES
- Ads: You can reset or limit ad personalization via your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads), or remove ads by purchasing the premium upgrade.
- Permissions: You can revoke permissions at any time in your device settings.
- Local data: You can delete saved devices in the App or uninstall the App to remove all local data.
11. DATA RETENTION
Data stored locally remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Data handled by third‑party services is retained according to their
respective policies.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App
after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
