Nau mai, haere mai and welcome to Tuturau School!

Our beautiful wee school is nestled in the hills between Mataura and Wyndham. It has a wonderful outlook onto the plains and has an incredibly rich history. This school has been here for a large number of years, with celebrating at its 150th Jubilee in 2021. 

Our ākonga came from far and wide to enjoy our small school atmosphere and where learning can be targeted and tailored to individual needs. Our ākonga work together a lot in the classroom spaces and kaiako work together to ensure that programmes and learning is fun for all! 

We have two classroom spaces - Team Explore is New Entrants - Year 3 and Team Investigate is Year 4-6 and an expansive library that is well resourced. 

Our book swap is up and going as well, with a cabinet full of books that can be exchanged available outside our play shed.
