Hello! Thank you for looking further!
I always wanted to be the best mother I could be. When my eldest daughter asked me to homeschool her, I knew immediately I also wanted to do that. This happened around 2009. All of my children had a short time in and out of public school, but homeschooling ended up being one of the most rewarding and memorable parts of raising my children. All of my children are now living independent, successful lives with a variety of lifestyles and goals. I would like to share what I have learned over the decades and help you experience the wonders of watching your children grow and learn about the world around them too.
I can help with infant care all the way through college preparation. My eldest child was reading at 18 months of age and has since graduated from college. Two of my children became skilled musicians. One child of mine bought her own car at age 16 and was managing a restaurant by age 18. My son was learning the home building construction business and getting paid for it at age 15. We listed that on his high school diploma transcripts! He bought his truck when he was 17. All of my children maintained high percentile scores throughout the years on the annual state assessment tests.
My business experience is wide. I started my career as a nursing assistant have had a handful of restaurant, motel, retail and factory positions worked in here and there. I entered the insurance industry, my primary occupation, about 30 years ago and made my way to establishing my own insurance agency around the time I began homeschooling; however, I took a break from full time insurance agent when my eldest daughter was still an infant and I started a Christian childcare service in my home which I continued for about 10 years.
My college education includes:
Associates Degree: Information Technology & Visual Communications. I have been making websites for fun for about 20 years. I even made a website for one of my children to chat and listen to music with her friends many years ago. I have really enjoyed working on this website because I am reminded of the many fun times I had homeschooling my own children.
Bachelors Degree: Political Science. While my intent was to continue with a bachelors degree in programming or computer science, I was working my insurance agency and homeschooling my children. Political Science was more interesting and doable at the time!
Graduate Studies: Environmental Policy and Management. My first option was law school at this time but I realized that would not fit into my life at the time so I chose the 2nd option. I studied everything "environment," from water and soil restoration to the energy industry to wildlife management. I am not quite finished with the masters program, just a handful of classes to go. I still might finish it one day!
I became a devoted Christian when I was 18 years old. I have read the Holy Bible several times from cover to cover and have studied it thoroughly. With this new business venture, I promise to care for your children and love them as if they were my own, with a foundation based on Christ.
I currently live on a small hobby farm with dogs, chickens and horses and beautiful mountain views all around. I suffered a neck and arm injury December 2024, requiring me to seek out new business opportunities.
I am really looking forward to meeting new families in need of educational and childcare services. Please don't hesitate with any questions. I want to hear from you.
Kind Regards,
Stephanie
