Become a member of THS PTSA to make a difference in your student’s high school community. We strongly encourage your student to join as well. We would love to have student participation at our meetings, as their voices are important in providing good programming. If students assist with our events, they can also earn service learning hours.

Memberships cost $15 per parent and $10 per faculty/student. A portion of each cost goes to Maryland PTA and PTA Council of Frederick County, as they provide support, training, and leadership to the local Frederick County PTA and PTSA units. The PTSA tries to keep fundraising at a minimum; in fact, we encourage you to give a donation with your membership fees if you would rather donate directly than participate in one of our fundraisers. We are now fundraising through AmazonSmile. Designate the THS PTSA as your charity of choice and shop through Amazon Smile and the PTSA will receive a portion of your purchase as a donation from Amazon.


Participation is not required of members. We do not actively solicit your involvement on an individual basis unless you indicate an area of interest to the board. However, we often send out emails through Find Out First including:

  • signing up to bring food for one or more of the Faculty and Staff breakfast, Homecoming, Academic Achievement nights, etc.

  • assisting with our fundraising efforts

  • assisting with information nights

  • decorating or set-up/take-down for events

  • input at our meetings
