Democratic Candidate, US House of Representatives

CD 15 - Red to blue pick up opportunity!

On April 19, 2021, Representative Steve Stivers announced that he would be resigning his seat in the United States House of Representatives effective May 16 to become president and CEO of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Following Stivers' official communication of his intent to resign, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that the special election to fill the remainder of his term would be held on November 2, 2021, with the primary election held on August 3, concurrent with the special election in Ohio's 11th congressional district.

Dr. Allison Russo (D-OH) won her primary in August and is the Democratic candidate for the CD15 US House seat in the November 2021 election! She is a public health expert and if elected to the House, would be one of the only women in Congress with a PhD.

Democratic Candidate, US House of Representatives

CD 11 - A must-keep seat!

Moderate Democrat Shontel Brown won her primary in August despite stiff competition from progressive Nina Turner. Because her district is heavily Democratic, Brown is expected to win this seat in November's election. The seat was vacated by Marcia Fudge when she joined Biden's cabinet as HUD Secretary. Brown is considered a protégé of Marcia Fudge, and her endorsements include Hillary Clinton.
