About us

TSHA is a constituent project of the OSSAC partnership: a coalition of student organisations supporting people who are homeless or in need across the city of Oxford.

OSSAC brings greater visibility to the work of Oxford students in this area, signposting volunteers, supporters, and people experiencing homelessness to the actions and services they are looking for.

The partnership was established to help students work together more effectively in supporting Oxford’s homeless community. This includes directing resources to where they can have the greatest impact, while also supporting the invaluable work of professional services in the city.

OSSAC comprises three student projects: Turl Street Homeless Action, Food Rescuers, and New College Curry Runners.

What do we do?

We run shifts on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays every week during University of Oxford Term time.

We serve three main functions:

To bring hot drinks and food to those sleeping rough in central Oxford
To provide good company and being a caring listener for those facing a difficult situation, aiming to reduce loneliness and brighten someone’s evening a little!
To bridge the divide between students and the homeless community

We would love to have you on board! There is no formal application or training process, but our Overview Document will give you an idea of how we run. Volunteer with us

If you would like to volunteer with us, sign up for our Mailing List and join the whatsapp community. When you are ready to sign up for a shift, put your name down on our Shift Rota, which can be found in our linktree
