NORDPLUS Intensive Course in Riga, Turiba University
Security is a pressing issue globally, and it is of particular importance to the Baltic and Scandinavian countries participating in the Nordplus program. New challenges have emerged, including the effects of war, migration, cultural and religious conflicts, cyberattacks, and other security threats. In this context, it is increasingly vital for educational institutions to prepare skilled and knowledgeable security specialists who can address these evolving threats. Given that security is an international concern, only through cooperation and joint efforts can Europe effectively confront these new challenges.
Turiba University has been collaborating with various universities across Europe for several years, particularly on security-related projects. In the summer of 2024, five partner universities from the Baltic Sea region organized the NORDPLUS Intensive Course on Security Risk Management. This course provided an intensive learning experience, equipping students with deep knowledge in the field of security.
