TurboGoogle Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
TurboGoogle is a Chrome extension that replaces the new tab page with a simple shortcut dashboard.
Data stored
TurboGoogle stores the following settings locally in Chrome and, when Chrome Sync is enabled, synchronizes them through Chrome’s sync service:
• shortcut names and URLs
• folder names and shortcut order
• theme, colors, background and welcome text preferences
TurboGoogle does not operate its own server and does not sell, share or use this information for advertising, analytics or tracking.
Permissions
• Storage: required to save and synchronize the extension settings.
• Favicon: used to display the favicon associated with a shortcut URL.
External websites
When you open a shortcut, TurboGoogle sends you directly to the website associated with that shortcut. Those websites have their own privacy policies and terms, which apply when you visit them. TurboGoogle does not control or receive the content of those websites.
No account required
TurboGoogle does not require an additional account, registration or login.
Data retention and deletion
Your settings remain in Chrome until you remove them through the extension, clear Chrome data, or uninstall the extension. You can remove all shortcut data by deleting the extension’s stored data in Chrome settings or by uninstalling TurboGoogle.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when TurboGoogle’s data practices change. The updated version will be published on this page.
