The story of psychedelics, an academic study that eventually brought them to Harvard, is parallel and tied to colonial projects. From the first chemical synthesis of a psychoactive plant, the peyote cactus, that is sacred to many Indigenous communities in Mexico and the U.S., to the banking exec turned spiritual seeker, Gordon Wasson, publishing at sensationalizing story in Life magazine on his trip to Mexico to find psychoactive mushrooms. These histories read like so many accounts of rationalistic science pillaging Indigenous people and their traditions to rejuvenate the clinical gaze of modernity.

I can't even say the decline of religion. I should just say the rise of spiritual but not religious. And what's clear is that there's a culture of seekership, and a lot of these seekers are created because the religious institutions in which they were raised were not providing them with the nourishment, or they felt as though that these institutions are not providing them with the nourishment they needed. And so they went out and became seekers, and in so doing, they're attempting to find meaning that was not supplied to them. So, and that meaning will be provided to them. They will find it.

Detune: Adjusts the pitch of the echo repeats on the left stereo channel in the range of -50 to +50 cents. Combined with feedback and cross-feedback you can use this to create progressively detuned echo cascades.

Wah Wah is a classic filter effect used for guitars that moves a resonant filter peak in the frequency spectrum. This versatile implementation of the effect offers detailed options to fine-tune the character and movement of the effect.

Synth: This mode is inspired by the choruses of polyphonic synthesizers from the late seventies and early eighties. Its sound characteristic is dark and vintage. The modulation behavior is tuned for rich and dispersed sounds.

Dimension: This mode is inspired by the choruses of studio rack processors from the early eighties. Its sound characteristic is bright and transparent. The modulation behavior is tuned for wide and consistent sounds.

Universal: This mode is a more generic chorus implementation. Its sound characteristic is clean and modern. The modulation behavior is tuned for a range of sounds from consistent to lively, depending on the number of Voices.

Ensemble is a chorus effect that is modeled after a classic effects unit. It adds slightly detuned voices to the signal, creating the illusion of an ensemble. Additionally, it can be used as a vibrato effect.

Detune: Alters the pitch of each individual flanger voice in a range of approximately +/- 60 cent. This creates a rich and lively sound similar to the effect of detuning oscillators on a synthesizer. Detune is especially useful when Chord is set to Unison.

Resochord is a bank of six comb filters, which produce distinct resonances in the frequency spectrum. The resonant frequencies of the comb filters can be tuned musically, enabling you to harmonize signals and create pitches and chords from any signal.

Chord/String: Selects one of two basic modes that determine the relative tuning of the comb filters. In Chord mode, the comb filtered are tuned according to a number of selectable chords. In String mode, the frequencies of the comb filters are spread around the root note, producing an intense chorusing effect.

Modulation: Adjusts the amount of movement added to the reverb sound by changing internal parameters of the reverb over time. Turning the control to the right changes the movement of the reverb from lush to strongly detuned sounds.

Nissim Black has been a gangsta rapper, a gang member, and a faith seeker. But it is his current incarnation that is here to stay: an African American Hasidic Jew who brings sharp beats and hooked-filled rhymes to the masses.

Deathcore is an extreme metal subgenre that combines death metal with metalcore.[1][2][3][4][5] The genre consists of death metal guitar riffs, blast beats, and metalcore breakdowns.[6][7] While there are some precursors to the concept of death metal fused with metalcore/hardcore elements seen in the 1990s, deathcore itself emerged in the early 2000s and gained prominence beginning in the mid-2000s within the southwestern United States, especially Arizona and inland southern California, which are home to many notable bands and various festivals.[8][9][10]

Deathcore combines death metal characteristics such as blast beats, down-tuned guitars, tremolo picking, and growled vocals with metalcore characteristics such as breakdowns.[citation needed] The genre is usually defined by breakdowns and death metal riffs or metalcore riffs played in the usual death metal tuning.[6][11] Like in other extreme metal fusion genres, deathcore guitarists down-tune their guitars to give their music a heavier sound. Deathcore bands may also employ guitar solos as well.[12][13][14][15][16][17]

20th century poets and dreamers discovered Ibiza as a place of initiation, personal and spiritual change. This September, Beat Hotel returns to the island, reconnecting with that original Balearic ideal, for a new generation of seekers.

John Barry and Don Black, the team behind several fine James Bond themes, prevailed here for "Born Free," from the picture of the same name. The tune wants to be a soaring, inspirational experience, and with a boffo vocal performance by Matt Monro, it comes reasonably close, but ultimately I think is more cheesy than anything else. Still, there have been far worse winners here.

Sibex is a Celtor that dons a grey hood and wears an unconfirmed white armor. A member of the Authority gone missing on duty, he has a Gale Wisp that will circle him, constantly playing either a chaotic violin tune, whistles, and other various songs that resemble circus music.

Sibex is located at the 3rd statue when passing by the first one next to Songseeker Island and the 2nd one, next to Summer Isles, the 3rd one has a big cliff right next to it on the right when facing the statue. When leaving Summer Isle and heading for Hive, Sibex will be on the left most island, sitting on the shoulder of a statue.

GodseekerZote is a traveller from outside Hallownest who came to the Kingdom to fulfill a promise. This is ultimately revealed to be a promise of glory for himself. He named his nail "Life Ender" because names supposedly have power. Unfortunately, because it is made of shellwood, it cannot deal damage. While he claims to be the strongest warrior in the land, he is found trapped by weak enemies or claiming the glory of another bug's deeds. He regards the Knight as beneath him and accuses them of constantly getting in his way.Found along the path leading to Greenpath. He is held in the mandibles of a Vengefly King, and the Knight has the choice to either save him or leave him. If saved, he complains that the Knight got in the way between him and his "prey", he introduces himself and boasts about his supposed mighty deeds.

The Godseeker is a Quest NPC in Hollow Knight who travelled to Hallownest seeking "gods", powerful beings revered for their strength and power.[2] In her mind, she exists in a different shape and carries her tribe of Godseekers, with whom she shares a collective mind.[3][4] They inhabit a dream of their own making: Godhome. She starts the quest of Godmaster.

The Godseekers originate from a land called the Land of Storms.[5] Their gods either died or abandoned them,[3] which prompted them to travel and seek new ones.[6] At some point, they merged within the mind of a single Godseeker.[3][4] This individual can focus their thoughts into a complex dream world: Godhome. This feat is possible through their mask, which can be passed along to other Godseekers.[7] They also built a temporary tuning device in order to find the resonance of other powerful beings in distant lands.[8] e24fc04721
