Applied Scientist, Adjunct Professor (Computer Vision) at the ECE department of the University of Victoria (UVic), BC, Canada.

My Ph.D. was completed under the supervision of Dr. Alexandra Branzan Albu at UVic in 2022; throughout this program I developed traditional CV- and Deep Learning-based systems for Environmental Monitoring. Notable vision tasks associated to that degree were 1) image dehazing/enhancement based on physical models, 2) data-driven methods including image classification, object detection, semantic and instance segmentation. During my B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering (2014, UFS, Brazil) and my M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering (2016, CSULB, USA) I worked with CV, the development of mobile autonomous robots and VLSI systems.
