Homepage of Tuhin Majumder

Hello everyone! This is Tuhin Majumder. I am a Postdoctoral research associate in the Dept. of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, Duke University. Prior to that, I was a PhD student at the Department of Statistics, North Carolina State University. I work under the supervision of Dr. Cliburn Chan and Dr. Jichun Xie. My research works mostly focus on development of Sparse Markov models in Categorical Time Series, Machine Learning, finding Senescence gene markers and analyzing spatial transcriptomic data for human cells.




I have been born and brought up in Bardhaman town in West Bengal, India. I did my schooling from Sishu Niketan School,  Burdwan Municipal High School and Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Narendrapur. I then joined the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata and got my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Statistics from there.
