# Privacy Policy for TuckIt

TuckIt ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal-organization app that lets you save
links and text from other apps and organize them into groups. This policy
explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using TuckIt you agree to
this policy.

## 1. Summary
- You can use TuckIt **without an account** — your saves stay only on your device.
- If you **sign in**, we store your email and sync your saved content to your
private, per-user space so it's backed up and available across your devices.
- We do **not** show ads, and we do **not** use third-party analytics, advertising,
or tracking SDKs.
- We do **not** sell your personal data.

## 2. Information we collect
**a) Account information (only if you sign in)**
- Email address, and an account identifier (UID), via **Firebase Authentication**.
- If you sign in with Google, Google provides us your email and basic account
identifier for authentication only.
**b) Content you save**
- The links, shared text, titles, notes, tags, and groups you create in the app.
- When you save a link, the app fetches publicly available page metadata (such as
the page title and thumbnail image) to display a preview.
**c) Purchase information**
- If you subscribe to TuckIt Pro, the purchase is processed by **Google Play
Billing**. We do not receive or store your card or payment details. We store a
record of your entitlement (whether your subscription is active and its expiry)
to unlock Pro features.
**d) On-device data**
- App data and settings (for example your saved items and preferences) are stored
locally on your device.
**e) Feedback you send**
- If you use the in-app feedback option, the message and your email are sent to us
by email so we can respond.
We do **not** knowingly collect precise location, contacts, photos, or biometric
data.

## 3. How we use your information
- To provide core features: saving, organizing, searching, and syncing your content.
- To create and secure your account and authenticate you.
- To back up and sync your saves across your devices when you are signed in.
- To verify purchases and grant/restore access to TuckIt Pro.
- To respond to feedback and support requests.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce usage limits.

## 4. Service providers we use
We use **Google Firebase** (Google LLC) as our backend service provider:
- **Firebase Authentication** — account sign-in.
- **Cloud Firestore** — storing and syncing your saved content and entitlement.
- **Cloud Functions** — securely verifying purchases and enforcing limits.
- **Google Play Billing** — processing subscription payments.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security

We do not use any advertising, marketing, or third-party analytics providers.

## 5. How your data is stored and protected
- Data synced to the cloud is stored in your **private, per-user space** and is not
readable by other users. Access is restricted by server-side security rules.
- Data in transit is protected using encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
- Data on your device is stored in the app's private storage.
No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps
to protect your information.

## 6. Data sharing
We do **not** sell your personal data and we do **not** share it with third parties
for their own marketing. We share data only:
- With the service providers listed in Section 4, to operate the app.
- If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the public.

## 7. Data retention
- Content you save is retained until you delete it or delete your account.
- Account data is retained while your account is active.

## 8. Your rights and choices
- **Use without an account:** you can use TuckIt locally without signing in.
- **Access and edit:** you can view, edit, and delete your saved items and groups
in the app at any time.
- **Delete your account:** the in-app "Delete account" option permanently deletes
your account and its synced data from our servers, and removes app data from your
device. This cannot be undone.
- **Manage your subscription:** subscriptions are managed through your Google Play
account.
- Depending on your location, you may have additional rights (such as access,
correction, deletion, or portability). Contact us at the email above to exercise
them.

## 9. Children's privacy
TuckIt is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your
country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you
believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

## 10. International users
Your information may be processed and stored on servers operated by our service
providers, which may be located in countries other than yours. By using the app you
consent to this processing.
##11.Deleted Data:
Your account credentials, email address, and all synced cloud data (including your saved links, text, and groups) are permanently and immediately deleted from our Firebase servers.
##12.On-Device Data:
The app will automatically clear all local app data from your current device.

## 13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by
updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
