Using Origami to Teach the Gospel

Our mission projects are all doing well by the grace of the Lord. We have so many things to do every day to spread the Gospel for all the people living on Tsushima Island.

Sometimes I teach origami to our students in our Adventist nature school, but recently I was invited to Tsushima City Education Center to teach Japanese Origami to students who have resisted attending school.

This time I taught how to make an origami snow crystal. It was a little bit difficult for them to make at first but finally, they could make beautiful origami snow crystals with patience.

After the program, I shared about God's love and how He created many different kinds of beautiful snow crystals in marvelous detail even though they cannot be seen by the naked eye.

I showed them real pictures of snowflakes and said that with that same attention to detail He created every one of us and made us very special and unique because he loves us so much.

This message captured the interest of one of the parents as well as the student who attended the class. I hope they will continue seeking the truth and eventually accept the salvation of Christ Jesus soon.

What we have been doing here in Tsushima Island might be very small things to share the love of God, but we strongly feel God has been using us to be a positive Christian influence on this island to those who have never heard of the Gospel.

• Integrity in little things, the performance of little acts of fidelity and little deeds of kindness, will gladden the path of life; and when our work on earth is ended, it will be found that every one of the little duties faithfully performed, has exerted an influence for good,-an influence that can never perish. • The work to which as Christians we are called is to co-operate with Christ for the salvation of souls. This work we have entered into covenant with Him to do. To neglect the work is to prove disloyal to Christ. But in order to accomplish this work we must follow His example of faithful, conscientious attention to the little things. Please keep praying for us so He can use us more in his way.

We found at the center that there are over 50 students who isolate themselves at home for many years. Their home life is very stressful and difficult which results in a life that becomes dark spiritually.

I am sure God wants to let His light be used to guide them out of darkness, even as He uses our ministry and your prayers.

Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Psalms 105
