ABOUT ME
I am a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in Informatics at Penn State University's College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST). I am working under the supervision of Dr. Syed Billah at the a11y lab. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (2017) and a Master’s in Informatics from Penn State (2024).
My current research focuses on leveraging generative AI to enhance human-computer interaction. More specifically, I use retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT) methods to fine-tune and enhance LLMs so that they can adapt to the user's needs.
This work builds on my earlier contributions to accessibility and interaction design, which include custom input devices, interface adaptations, and probabilistic models of non-visual usability. Grounded in participatory design and user validation, these efforts span desktop, mobile, and VR platforms.
My first-author publications have appeared in leading HCI venues including CHI, UIST (Best Paper Honorable Mention), ASSETS, IMWUT, and DIS (Best Paper Honorable Mention).
Our Paper "IKIWISI: An Interactive Visual Pattern Generator for Evaluating the Reliability of Vision-Language Models Without Ground Truth" has received an Honorable Mention for the Best Paper at DIS'25!
