Welcome to my website!
My research theme centers on exploring the evolutionary history of organisms through a multi-disciplinary framework that integrates genetics, embryology, physiology and ecology. I'm particularly interested in investigating unique and striking traits in my study species, focusing on their proximate causation, and generating new discoveries that may serve as seeds for the next generation of research.
I earned my PhD from the Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI), where I studied the evolution of vision in sea snakes. I'm currently a researcher at a gene bank center, where I contribute to the development of a large-scale genome database of vegetable genetic resources using nanopore sequencing technology. My research focuses on genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and evolutionary analyses using genome-scale data. I'm fascinated by the remarkable phenotypes of sea snakes, and I maintain a strong interest in herpetological research, including studies involving pet reptiles. You can find my publications and CV here.
