Eligible overtime hours worked during the week appear as separate line items on the payslip with different amounts corresponding to the separate FLSA earning codes listed above. The total overtime amount received for the pay period is adding the FLSA OT-Straight Time and FLSA OT-Premium amounts.

As FLSA OT earnings appear as separate line items on the payslip, the number of hours displayed is the overall total eligible overtime hours worked during the dates indicated. These hours are used to calculate the FLSA OT Straight Time and FLSA OT Premium earnings. The number of hours listed are not added together and should be the same value for the corresponding week where OT is earned.

The earnings section on your payslip will display the number of eligible hours for shift premium, the dates the shift premium hours were earned, the shift premium rate of pay, and the total shift premium amount.

The payslip will display a separate line item for each sub-period earning amount showing the original amount paid which will appear as a negative value and a corresponding corrected amount that has been recalculated during retro processing.

A salary statement, commonly called a payslip, pay stub, paystub, pay advice, or sometimes paycheck stub or wage slip, is a document received by an employee that either includes a notice that the direct deposit transaction has gone through or that is attached to the paycheck. Each country has laws as to what must be included on a payslip, but this typically includes details of the gross wages for the pay period and the taxes and any other deductions the employer is required to make by law as well as other personal deductions such as retirement plan or pension contributions, insurances, garnishments, or charitable contributions taken out of the gross amount to arrive at the final net amount of the pay, also including the year to date totals in some circumstances.

In most countries with a developed wire transfer system, payment of wages and salaries is increasingly being effected by electronic means, rather than by the use of a physical cheque. This saves the company money on printing and processing cheques and reduce the problem of fraud. However, vocabulary referring to the figurative "pay cheque" persists in some languages, but this commonly refers to a payslip or stub rather than an actual cheque. Some company payrolls have eliminated both the paper cheque and stub, in which case an electronic image of the stub is available on a website. Most of the provinces and territories in Canada allow employers to issue electronic payslips if the employees have confidential access to it and are able to print it.

I also wanted to ask, if clients choose to have the payslips e-mailed directly to their employees as password protected pdfs, how do you usually communicate the passwords to the employees? The whole point of password protecting them is so that if anyone intercepts their e-mails then the payslip can't be accessed by anyone else. But if I send them their password also via e-mail, then surely this defeats the point, as anyone who's gotten access to their e-mails would then also have the password?

But I really do not regard that as secure under GDPR rules and really is not that secure A hacker would find that very easy to work out Date of birth in a certain format, plus the name of the person on the email and then the payslip. Hackers would have a field day and work that out very simply.

and what good is putting a password, or for that matter,a payslip in the post to their home address?

perhaps we should only pass on the relatively innocuous details of a payslip by personally arranging to meet them all individually at an undefined address and all in a secret code only - sychronised watches anyone?

i think a bit of reality is needed here.....

Your current payslip will be available online on your scheduled pay date. You can view prior payslips for the current year and three previous years. Select a year and a payslip date from the drop down boxes at the top of your screen.

When you leave the University, you will no longer have access to My Pitt (my.pitt.edu) and Pitt Worx. If there are any final payments due to you, a paper payslip will be generated and mailed to the address listed in the payroll system. For more information about how to make changes to your address or tax information in Pitt Worx, visit this page.

Individuals receiving payroll payments can review their payslip in PittWorx to determine if they will receive a 1042-S. If University Contributions/Other on December payslip shows 1042S-18, 19, or 20 Wages in the year to date column or 16 listed along with any postdoctoral scholarships, predoctoral fellowships and training grants payments under the Earnings section of the payslip the earnings will be reported on 1042S and are excluded from Federal wages on W-2. Additionally any individual that has non-W2 FIT tax withheld from their payment will receive a 1042-S.

Payslips in Workday will look slightly different that those you may have printed from Banner previously. All information previously contained on your payslip from Banner is still reflected in every Workday payslip. In fact, the payslips available in Workday will have more information, including your federal and state withholding elections listed on each payslip for easy viewing.

Below, find an example of a payslip in Workday as well as instructions on how to access it. If you'd like to see how the payslips differ between what was available in Banner and what is now available in Workday, please watch this two minute video.

Your bank account number might be on your payslip if your pay is paid directly into your bank account. Your pay must be paid to you in cash unless you have agreed for it to be paid some other way (e.g. into your bank account.

Some payslips will show leave balances e.g. annual holidays, sick leave, alternative holidays, long service leave, time off in lieu (TOIL) etc. If your payslip shows two leave balances for annual holidays these will be entitled holidays (which you are entitled to take each time you reach your annual holidays anniversary date) and accrued holidays. Accrued holidays are a useful tool for employers to use as an estimate of financial liability for annual holidays, They can also be useful for employees to see as an estimate of their progress towards becoming entitled to their four weeks annual holidays (at their anniversary date). It can be confusing to see your accrued annual holidays balance because:

If someone gets a different rate of pay, for example for working overtime or unsociable hours, the hours must be broken down in the payslip. This should be set out so that it's easy to understand at a glance.

If an employee or worker thinks there's an error in their payslip, they should speak to their manager, payroll team or employer as soon as possible. It's usually best to raise the problem informally by talking to their employer.

An electronic Direct Deposit (ePayslip) is an environmentally friendly solution to communicate accurate and timely pay information to PGCPS employees. For the employee, it eliminates lost or stolen pay information and significantly reduces the risk of identity theft. Your information can be accessed 24/7 from work, home, or from most computers with internet access. Your electronic payslip will remain online, secure and accessible.

A. The electronic paperless Direct Deposit payslip replaces the paper payslip that is currently printed by Prince George's County Public Schools. Instead of receiving a paper payslip, you will have access to view and save to your computer, your pay information.

Do you run a business in the Netherlands and do you employ staff? You must provide your employees with a paper or digital payslip. With this payslip you inform them about the composition of their wage. Only with your employee's express consent, you may provide them with a digital version.

The payslip shows the calculation basis for the salary you have been paid. An example of a payslip can be seen below, with explanation of what some of the fields on the payslip means. You will also find an explanation of holiday pay and tax deduction for payslips in June.

Trying to read a German payslip (or as they say in Germany: a Gehaltsabrechnung) for the first time? The cryptic calculation methods and bureaucratic German jargon can make it difficult to understand. However, it is very important to know what a payslip is and what factors determine the salary.

We have used a general payslip to explain the German payslip in broad terms. Any personal adjustments or situations are not considered in this blog. Do you need help reading or drafting a payslip?
