TruthLens analyses text entirely within your browser. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any user data. Your text never leaves your device.
What TruthLens Does
TruthLens is a browser extension that detects AI-generated text using linguistic analysis. When you scan a web page or paste text into the extension, the analysis runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. No text is sent to any external server.
Data We Collect
None. TruthLens does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information. We do not track which websites you visit. We do not record or store the text you analyse. We do not use cookies or tracking pixels. We do not transmit any data to external servers. We do not use analytics or telemetry of any kind.
Website Content Access
TruthLens requires permission to read text content on web pages so it can analyse that text for AI-generated patterns. This content is processed entirely within your browser and is never sent anywhere. The extension reads page text only when you explicitly initiate a scan.
Local Storage
TruthLens uses your browser's local storage solely to save your preferences such as whether the extension is enabled, your sensitivity level, and highlight style. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted.
Third-Party Services
TruthLens does not integrate with, send data to, or receive data from any third-party services, APIs, or analytics platforms.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change how TruthLens handles data, we will update this privacy policy. Any future versions that collect data will require your explicit consent.
