This is how our behavior modifications are built.

Consultation

We provide in-home behavior analytic therapy services that work with individuals and their families from the ground up. We understand that it is best that individuals of all ages learn in real-life, natural and community settings as much as possible in order to best ready them for daily life in those settings and situations. Because of this dynamic, we perform all of our behavioral consultations in the individual's natural settings in which they spend most of their time.

During Consultation, our BCBA, Jennifer Coffin, works with parents and caregivers to assess and identify behaviors to target for intervention as well as to assess what skill deficits may be barriers to successful intervention and implementation. Meet the BCBA!

Our primary BCBA, Jennifer Coffin, is the director of True Colors ABA Consulting Services LLC. Jennifer has five years experience working with children and adults of all ages. Jennifer began her career in 2013 in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis as an ABA Implementer in the natural home setting. Jennifer then moved up to a Registered Behavior Technician in 2015 with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. After this, Jennifer was so enamoured with ABA and what the progress she was making with her clients that she went back to school as Saint Louis's Webster University to pursue her graduate degree in Special Education for Applied Behavior Analysis. During this time, Jennifer worked in an intensive practicum program at Behavior Intervention Services, a company specializing in intensive services for individuals with intense behaviors. Upon graduating, Jennifer worked as a provisionally licensed Behavior Analyst in Missouri until sitting for her exam. Jennifer has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst for a year and has now opened her own practice with the mission to provide the best quality services to her clients and their families.

What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis is a scientific empirically based therapy that focuses on processes that are systematically applied to increase socially significant behaviors and decrease socially interfering behaviors to a meaningful degree, improving the lives of the individuals who are using ABA. Therefore, an ABA program is a systematic teaching approach that involves breaking skills down into the smallest level needed for acquisition and learning. ABA uses motivation and reinforcement strategies to increase learning and decrease interfering behaviors. In ABA, progress is continuously measured and monitored so that modifications can be updated as needed on an individual basis.
