A collection of my hand carved models. Everything i do is by hand, i have no power tools. The  English basswood comes in 300mm x 50mm x 50mm blocks which i hand saw into 3 inch sections which each model is carved from. I sand them by hand and apply linseed oil to preserve the wood. I then paint them with acrylic paint and finally apply a matt varnish spray. Proof of work. 

Typically i follow a selection of photos i find online to guide me in carving the correct head and feature shapes. Each model has at least 20 hours of blood, sweat and tears put into it.

The aim is to eventually reach Michaelangelo levels of accuracy in my realism carvings. One can dream, but with proof of work, and bitcoin in my life i will endeavour to achieve the unachievable. Dare to dream.
