Who is Burna Boy?

Burna Boy is the stage name of Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu MFR, a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He was born on July 2, 1991, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He comes from a musical family: his grandfather was the manager of Fela Kuti, the legendary Afrobeat pioneer, and his father was also a musician. Burna Boy grew up listening to different genres of music, such as dancehall, reggae, R&B, soul, and hip-hop. He started making his own beats and songs when he was 10 years old. He moved to London to study media technology at the University of Sussex but dropped out after two years to pursue his music career. He returned to Nigeria in 2010 and signed with Aristokrat Records.
