"Steel Crystals" was first shown on September 24th, but was only officially released a day later on September 25.
The song was made before its short film/music video. This was the first time I had made an animation to fit one of my songs. The song quickly became popular with fans, but the short film unfortunately never saw the same popularity.

Behind The Scenes
It requires many layers of animation before anything begins to look realistic, but in the end, it all comes down to the device rendering it. Unfortunately, with such a tight schedule, rending in a higher-quality format was not an option, so a lower quality faster engine was used instead.
