Temple Rodef Shalom
Temple Rodef Shalom is committed to supporting our entire community even while we cannot be close to each other physically. Social distancing does not mean social isolation. This website contains a compilation of calendars, resources, activities, and media for you, your family, your friends and our community to remain connected and united Jewishly during this challenging time.
A Word from Our Clergy
Welcome to Temple Rodef Shalom’s Virtual Community!
Life right now…is a little complicated.
But, staying in touch, in relationship with one another, in community – even if only virtually – is one way to feel less isolated, better informed, and, maybe, a little entertained!
A Word From Our Clergy Continued...
Just above, you’ll see tabs that will help you identify content of interest to you based on your age and stage of life. But, please! Explore the entire site. Click “More” for a full list of options.
Just below, you’ll see a calendar of virtual opportunities to worship and sing, learn and explore, laugh and play. If something piques your interest, give it a click and a window will open with links to register or get more information.
More calendar entries will be posted soon. Please be patient with us as we, too, learn more about life lived virtually!
Under “Resources,” you will find links and information on Temple assistance and support, opportunities to help our larger community, interesting book and movie lists, and updates on COVID-19.
Worship services and holiday observances will be streamed via our Temple streaming services. Please click here for our streaming archives where you can enjoy and participate in our worship services.
Many of these opportunities will be via Zoom, a video conferencing tool, that you can access from your PC, laptop, phone, or tablet. With Zoom, you can join via video so that we can see you and you can see us…or just by phone. If you’d like to learn more about Zoom, click here for a quick and easy introduction.
This is new to all of us – you, our members, as well as our lay leaders and staff. Please bear with us and with each other as we gain confidence in using this technology.
Got an idea for a virtual “happening” – a class, a social gathering, a program? Please be in touch with Cookie Mandell, Director of Membership Engagement!
While we will miss seeing your sweet punims and even sweeter hugs, we look forward to seeing your smiles and hearing from you online!
