Tropical Hut Food Market, Inc. (THFMI), started its operations as a sari-sari store. The company began as a grocery store in 1962 and quickly developed into a supermarket. With the advent of Tropical Hut Hamburger this year, the notion of a coffee shop within a supermarket was also introduced. On February 26, 1965, the company was incorporated.
Tropical Hut is reputedly the first hamburger choice in the Philippines in 1965. Today, Tropical Hut has more than 50 branches nationwide, proving that it can hold its stance in the fast food arena.
