ABOUT OUR TROOP
Troop TX-0271 is chartered by CrossCreek Church in Colleyville, TX.
A Multi-Generational Troop: We are a multi-generational troop dedicated to raising up the next generation of godly men, and having fun in the great outdoors!
Whether you're a 5-year-old boy who loves to camp, or are a 65-year-old boy-at-heart who has a desire to pass on your outdoor skills, please email us. We have a place for you.
Troop Meetings: Our troop typically meets on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Mondays of each month at CrossCreek Church (Building C) 5405 Pleasant Run Rd, Colleyville, TX 76034, from 6:00-7:30pm.
Additionally, our troop has scheduled campouts, service opportunities, and other events and to participate in outside of our normal meetings, usually once a month.

5-10* years old - Boys on the Woodlands Trail (Foxes, Hawks, and Mountain Lions) gain knowledge about outdoor skills, citizenship, character, friendship, and faith through fun activities, awards, and skill instruction. 5-6* years old are Foxes, 7-8* years old are Hawks, and 9-10* years old are Mountain Lions. Boys 5 years and older as of October 31 of the program year are eligible to join.
11-13* years old - As Navigators, boys will gain understanding of their values and beliefs under the guidance of godly male role models through being responsible in outdoor adventures and in their home and school life. They explore areas of interest and earn Trail Badges for advancement.
14-17* years old - As Adventurers, young men mature in wisdom and faith through more difficult challenges and leadership activities with Christian men walking alongside. They plan and lead outdoor events and large projects while exercising leadership positions in the Troop, even mentoring some of the younger Trailmen.
*Based on age as of October 31 of each program year (August - May)

Trail Life USA is a Church-Based, Christ-Centered, Boy-Focused mentoring and discipleship journey that speaks to the heart of a boy. Established on the timeless values derived from the Bible and set in the context of outdoor adventure, boys from Kindergarten through 12th grade are engaged in a Troop setting by male mentors where they are challenged to grow in character, understand their purpose, serve their community, and develop practical leadership skills to carry out the mission for which they were created.
