We meet 7:00-8:30 PM every Thursday evening at Scout Hall next to the New Hope Community Fellowship Church. Exceptions are days when there is no school and the remainder of August after summer camp.
Boy Scout Troop 755 was established in 1954 and chartered by our current charter organization, the New Hope Community Fellowship Church. The troop is part of the River Hawk District in the Baltimore Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Troop 755 started with less than a half dozen scouts in our first year but has quickly grown in size and now exceeds over 55 chartered members. Troop 755 has a strong and proud track record of Scouts achieving the rank of Eagle Scout over the years. We have one of the highest advancement rate of the 44 troops in the River Hawk District.
Throughout the year the troop conducts monthly campouts or events. Each year the troop participates in the annual fundraisers, the Scouting for Food Program, and a number of other community service events. Every summer the troop spends a full week at the Horseshoe Scout Reservation, one of the country’s top rated BSA Camps, located in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
Troop 755’s Committee and Adult Leadership are strong proponents of the BSA’s Aims and Methods of Scouting. We encourage the patrol method during our weekly meetings and in the planning and structure of our monthly camp outs.
