Madrona Troop 42514
Welcome to the Troop 42514 page. This is a resource for scouts and parents to keep up-to-date with upcoming troop activities and other important information. As always, you can contact the troop leadership at 42514leads@gmail.com (last update: Feb 10th 2018)
General Notes:
- It's cookie season! Initial orders have been placed, but girls can still take orders. Booth slots are mostly filled but there are still some open slots for scouts - check in with Michelle A. to see what's available. You can read more about the 2018 cookie program here.
- Cookie program dates are listed in our calendar (below) but here are some milestones:
- February 18, 2018 - Initial Cookie Order arrives and distribution will begin
- March 2, 2018 - Booth Sales begin, spanning three weekends
- Pickup after meetings will be in the cafeteria at school unless otherwise notified. Please be sure to check-in with a lead and sign your scout out before leaving.
Brownies:
Brownies are working on finishing up the Philathropist badge as part of the cookie sales season. They are figuring out what to do with the troop proceeds which could include things like troop field trips, camping trips, and charitable donations. Talk with your Brownie and hear what has been discussed.
Parents can help their Brownies work on the Law and Promise at home; just click the link to read them. Please note: We have altered the Promise a bit in order to better serve all scouts from all backgrounds. To that end, we will be teaching the second stanza as follows:
To serve my community and my country
Daisies
Daisies meet every week from 2:30 - 3:30 pm.
Juniors
Juniors are planning a late-Spring backpacking trip. Topics of discussion include leave no trace, how to prepare for camping, and other useful tidbits of camping preparation knowledge.
