Scouting is...

Adventure, Family, Fun, Character, Leadership and so much more. In Troop 1299, boys start with their best "right now" selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life. During camping, Tefilah (prayer services) services are conducted daily. Only kosher food is served is served at all troop functions.

What’s in it for the Boys?

Activities, camping, hiking, field sports, shooting sports, outdoor crafts, leadership opportunities, community projects, swimming, canoeing and much more, including Kosher Klondike retreat (Presidents' Day weekend) and Kosher week at a real Boy Scout Camp!

What’s in it for the Parents?

An opportunity to see your son grow, build self-confidence, self-esteem and work together as a team with his peers. Scouting helps you to create the potential for your son’s accomplishments and gives him a sense of teamwork and belonging as well as valuable life skills.

Troop 1299 Eagle Scouts

Eagle Scout is the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). The designation "Eagle Scout" was founded over one hundred years ago. Only four percent of Boy Scouts are granted this rank after a lengthy review process. The requirements necessary to achieve this rank take years to fulfill. Since its founding, the Eagle Scout rank has been earned by almost 2.5 million young men.At least forty astronauts earned the rank as a youth, including Neil Armstrong and Charles Duke who walked on the moon. Businessmen who have earned the award include Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton, Marriott International CEO J. W. Marriott, Jr., and Michael Bloomberg, former Mayor of New York City and founder of Bloomberg L.P. Below is a listing of the young men in our troop who have attained the distinctive rank of Eagle Scout:
