TROMSØ PICKLEBALL OPEN

What?

Pickleball is a fun and challenging paddle sport that is currently exploding in North America.  Easy to learn, difficult to master!  It has only been in Tromsø since August 2022.   New to pickleball?  Here's a great tutorial.  Want to try it for free with TSI Pickleball?  Click here to register.

When?

The 6th Tromsø Pickleball Open will take place on 21 & 22 February 2026.

Where?

Stakkevollan idrettshall, Utsikten 51, 9018 Tromsø

The tournament will consist of 2 (non-gendered) events below:

• Sat Feb 21: Doubles: Sign up with a partner, or we can try to help find you one.

• Sun Feb 22: Singles

For each of the above events, we will have two classes: Beginner (3.0) & Intermediate+ (3.5+).

For each event class, we will have two phases of play:

• 1. Round-robin phase: Organized into pools if necessary.  Each match is a single game to 11 points (win by 2, except for max 15; e.g. you can win 15-14.)  Advancement to playoffs: TBA.

  2. Playoff phase: Semifinals & Finals matches are best 2 out of 3 games (each game until 11 points, win by 2).

NOTE: The organizers reserve the right to adjust the format depending on registration numbers and other factors in order to ensure a smooth event.
