This Privacy Policy describes how the Trip Planner app ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information. By using Trip Planner, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Location Data: If you grant permission, the app accesses your device's location to provide map and trip planning features. Location data is used only within the app and is not stored or shared externally.

• Trip Details: You may enter trip information, places, and notes. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

• API Usage: The app tracks usage of third-party APIs (e.g., Google Maps, OpenWeather, Gemini AI) to enforce monthly limits. This information is stored locally and not shared externally.

• Photos & Videos (optional): If you enable the Photos & Videos switch in the slideshow, the app will request permission to read media on your device (Images/Videos on Android 13+; Storage on older Android versions) and temporarily access media items whose timestamps fall within your selected trip/day dates. Media access is used only to display a local slideshow; we do not upload, transmit, or otherwise share your photos or videos. No copies are stored by the app, and you can revoke permission at any time in Android settings.

2. Third-Party Services

Trip Planner uses the following third-party services to provide core functionality:

• Google Maps Platform (Maps, Geocoding, Distance Matrix, Search)

• OpenWeather (weather data)

• OpenRouteService (routing)

• Gemini AI (AI-generated summaries)

• Google AdMob (ads)

• Google Play Billing (subscriptions, if enabled)

Advertising (AdMob)

Trip Planner displays ads using Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect and use information about your device, such as device identifiers, ad interactions, and possibly location, to provide and improve advertising. This may include personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your preferences and applicable law. 3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve app features (e.g., trip planning, maps, weather, AI summaries)

• We do not operate any backend servers and do not store your data remotely.

• API keys are securely obfuscated and never exposed in logs or exported data.

• We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.

• Data is only shared with third-party APIs as required for app functionality (e.g., sending coordinates to Google Maps or OpenWeather).

6. Your Rights and Choices

• You may delete the app at any time to remove all locally stored data.

• No account or registration is required, so no personal identifiers are collected for login.
