Trio of Poems

A light:

There’s a light inside you

Casting a soft glow

And as your emotions change, that light will shrink and grow.

It grows when you’re happy, when you’re sad that light does dim.

Don’t give up and always know, your light will shine again.

Friends:

Tell me a lie, then whisper goodbye.

I guess this is how it ends.

I won’t ask why, I’ll hide when I cry.

Just promise we’ll still be friends.

Storm:

Everything was so still,

Then the storm blew in.

The night you became ill,

I knew I’d never be whole again.
