Why do they all pertain to footprintdns all of a sudden, though? What exactly is that domain doing anyway? If it's related to Microsoft DNS tracking, it doesn't make sense to me that such a behemoth would allow invalid certificates for all these related domains. It seems suspect to me and I was initially worried that I had been hacked or something due to the frequency.

I can only assume that with the last Windows update a change was made without adjusting the certificate.

Clarification could possibly bring a request to Microsoft support, but they rarely answer such questions.

It is my fist time using SAML, and I'm tring to implement the SP side of it.I have a working version of it in a dev environment, but the IDP in production require that my metadata have WantAssertionsSigned = true and to add a auto-signed certificate.I've been tring to test this without success, can anyone here help me ?

Fiddler to my sharepoint site displays this: The server (0d255cb7441615dbb825de4d81cddac7.nrb.footprintdns.com) presented a certificate that did not validate, because it was issued to a different host.

Still no response from MS ? Till today it was silent, but now, all the computers are getting this message, and the firewall installed is blocking it (the security certificate is not from a known or approved agency) Anyway, it isn't affecting the operation, so I think it is immaterial, except the nuisance value. But which group of microsoft is tryying to fish here ? The Office 365 group or the windows ?

My Kaspersky Total Security application is identifying an invalid certificate. The source program is listed as Microsoft Office in the popup. The certificate in question lists the related certificate site as outlook.live.com, and the detailed report lists the involved program as Microsoft Word! I have attached the pertinent screenshots. As you can see, the issue is very repetitive, with a different prefix for the url each time. Comment would be appreciated.

The reason why Kasperspy comes up with an issue about the authenticity of the domain is rather simple: some application is trying to access a domain (*.nrb.footprintdns.com) while the channel (outlook.office.com or live.com depending from the application you use) uses a certificate that does not match the url.

I generated a .cert base 64 certificate from STRUST tcode of my ECC server.I'am tring to load the certificate in visual administrator under key storage --> ADS Certs. while loading, it is giving me an error message stating " Key Store : ID21113:Input array size must be multiple by 4."

I was able to upload the same certificate with .cert extension previously, but this time it is throwing me import failed error and the above error message. I checked in forums but i couldn't find any solution.

I'm tring to sign a pdf document with adobe reader. I use a EJBCA generated certificate.

When I choose "Sign" I recieve error:

I've imported two CA certificates in Windows Certificate Store.

When I use "Revocation" tab I see folloing error:

I think we concluded last time that it might be some field in your certificates that Adobe does not like. EJBCA certificates are used in production for signing with Adobe Acrobat in some places. Also with SignServer.

I've found a certificate fileld, which is reason for adobe error. This "2.5.4.16 - postalAddress".

I've issued two certificates, one with this field and one without this field.

I've noticed that EJBCA offer a new certificate field "Street". May be this field is more suitable for address than postalAddress. When I installed my production system(EJBCA 3.7.4) there weren't such filed "Street", Am I right?
