Application: TrimWave Player (Android) ("TrimWave", the "App") Data controller / Developer: Eddy (the "Developer", "we", "us", "our") Contact: eddy.nexisos@gmail.com
This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use TrimWave, by whom, for what purpose, and the choices available to you. By installing or using the App you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the App.
TrimWave is an offline music player and audio editor. All core functionality — playback, library browsing, trimming, merging, converting, tag editing and ringtone creation — is performed entirely on your device. The Developer operates no servers, requires no account or registration, and does not receive, collect, store, sell, or share your audio files, music library, or any personal information. The only data processing involving third parties arises from Google advertising services (free version), Google Play Billing (Premium purchase), and the optional online cover-art search, each described below.
The App stores your preferences, playlists, favourites, editing history, selected cover images and Premium entitlement in its private application storage. This information never leaves your device through the App and is permanently removed when you clear the App's data or uninstall it. Audio files you create with the App's tools are written to your device's storage and remain under your sole control.
The free version of the App displays banner advertisements and optional rewarded advertisements served by Google AdMob. In connection with ad serving and measurement, Google may collect device-derived data including the advertising identifier, IP address (from which approximate location may be inferred), device and network information, and ad-interaction data. The Developer does not receive, access, or store this data.

Consent and control. Where required by law (the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the App presents a consent form — provided through Google's certified consent management platform — before advertisements are served. You may review or withdraw your choices at any time in Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy options within the App. You may additionally reset or delete your device's advertising identifier via Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Purchasing TrimWave Premium permanently removes all advertising and the associated data processing.
Legal bases (UK/EU GDPR): consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for personalised advertising; legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for limited, non-personalised ad serving, frequency capping and fraud prevention.
The Premium upgrade is a one-time purchase processed exclusively by Google Play. Payment details are handled by Google and are never visible to, or stored by, the Developer. The App records only your entitlement status (Premium active or not) locally on your device. Google's processing of purchases is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
When you actively use the "Find cover online" feature, the search term you provide (song title and/or artist) is transmitted as a query to Apple's iTunes Search API and Deezer's public API in order to display matching album artwork. These requests carry no account information or advertising identifiers; as with any internet request, the receiving service technically processes your IP address. Their handling of such requests is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy and the Deezer Privacy Policy. If you do not use this feature, no such requests are made.
The App requests only the permissions necessary for its stated functionality:
Music and audio access — locating and playing audio files stored on your device; read locally only.
Notifications — playback controls and local "new music added" alerts, generated on-device.
Modify system settings — requested only if you use the "Make ringtone" feature, to set your chosen clip as the device ringtone following your explicit confirmation.
Internet access — used solely for advertising (free version), the Premium purchase, and the optional cover-art search. The App never transmits your files or library.
Library detection, including notification of newly added music, is performed by querying the device's own media database locally.
TrimWave is designed and provided solely for the playback and editing of audio content that you own or are otherwise lawfully entitled to use, such as music you have purchased, recorded, or downloaded from legitimate sources onto your device.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the App — including trimming, merging, converting, tagging, sharing, and ringtone creation — complies with applicable copyright and other laws in your jurisdiction. The App must not be used to infringe intellectual-property rights or for any other unlawful purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer accepts no liability for any use of the App outside its intended purpose, including any unauthorised reproduction, modification or distribution of copyrighted material by users. Any such misuse is contrary to the intended use of the App and to Google Play policies.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and the Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from any user, including children. The App does not employ age-inappropriate content or child-directed advertising formats.
The Developer retains no personal data, as none is collected. Information processed by Google in connection with advertising or billing is retained in accordance with Google's published policies, linked above. Locally stored App data persists only until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
The Developer does not share data with third parties, because the Developer holds none. Data processed by Google and, where applicable, Apple or Deezer, may be processed on servers located outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, subject to those companies' safeguards and published policies.
If you are located in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have statutory rights in relation to your personal data, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office — ico.org.uk). As the Developer holds no personal data, requests concerning advertising or purchase data are most effectively directed to Google via the resources above; however, you may contact the Developer at any time at eddy.nexisos@gmail.com for assistance.
The App follows Android's application-sandbox model: its settings and data reside in private application storage inaccessible to other applications. As no data is transmitted to the Developer, no developer-side storage or transmission risk exists.
This Policy may be updated from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. The current version, with its effective date, will always be published at this address. Material changes will be noted in the App's release notes.
