I had many random side jobs in my life. Some of them are more random than other. I'll put a list here
Renting manga
I started manga renting business in primary school. It didn't last long unfortunately.
Cutting salmon head
This one is all the way back in Vietnam when my mom was selling salmon. There was a time a guest come over to my house and see me bring out a big knife, a huge cutting board, and a hammer to cut salmon heads. She was very shocked.
Cleaning toilet
I needed money for my first laptop, so I contracted with my mom. Every toilet is $50 until I scoop up $800 for my laptop.
Nursing home
I volunteered at nursing home for a while. It is a culture's duty to take care of it's elderly.
Freelancer on Fiverr
It was Covid, so I had so much free time on my computer. I ended up doing manga editing and solving physics problems on Fiverr.
Uber Eats Driver
They pay pretty high. This was a very good side job for college student. The only downside is driving too much which increase accident risk. I learned a lot of new cool restaurant and areas doing this job though.
Waiter
I worked over the summer at my uncle restaurant. At the time, it was a very understaffed, so I did have the experience of bearing the workload of 2-3 people at once. Restaurant environment is very high pressure and physically demanding. After this job, I realize how privileged I am to be able to get a formal education and have access to office job.
