I have two RAM(s) of 8GB each (Trident GSkill F4-3200C16D-16GTZRX )

I was controlling the RGB lights via the G.Skill Trident Z Lighting Control.

However, the RGB could also be controlled from MSI Mystic Light and RGB fusion.

I used the GSkill app though.

I need to have both Icue and G.Skill Trident Z running at same time. Because I refuse to install the bloatware Asus Amoury Crate just to control the LED. That is why i install the G.Skill Trident Z to control memory LED.

I have uninstall G.Skill Trident Z Lighting Control. Install Asus Amoury Crate. Update iCue to 5.8. It is stable. This proof that iCue is having serious conflict with G.Skill Trident Z Lightning control.

Side Note: iCue 5.7 or 5.8, i also install Asus Plugin. But I dont see my memory in iCue and unable to control lighting sync within iCue. also it is not controlling Motherboard light at all. So makes me wonder what light is control by asus plugin???

3. Uninstall Trident Z and install Asus Amoury Crate (assume you have asus motherboard) to control the light. When i went with this option, iCue did not crash and it works fine. But it also did nothing to integrate ICue and Asus. The asus plugin did not work to sync the light.

i am very disappointed with Customer services. I open a ticket. Explain the same above situation. The answer I got was Oh.. that is because Icue fight control with G.skill Trident Z. It will happen on ALL VERSION of ICUE.

Another reply from Support and its really disappointing. When they keep saying i should be lucky that i have 5.7 working. Really make me steaming when it work on all version prior to 5.8. and they keep saying its fighting for control of lighting? When my G.Skill is not even part of the ICue system. In iCue, i can't see the Memory module there. Also i did not have any plugin install in iCUE. So saying it s fighting for control is not right and refuse to put a bug ticket for dev to work on it.

After the update my RAM RGB can no longer be controlled and it is stuck in the default rainbow mode. My relative has the same issue with the same RAM after the update, was working fine before the update.

after that the lighs will usually get stuck and remain so until the system gets rebooted. Sometimes opening Aura Creator or Armoury crate will make the rgb lights flash across all the devices and then resync the ram by itself, sometime it doesn't. It's extremely inconsistent and thus hard to identify. Only thing I noted is that during the last round of uninstall/reinstall the lighting control software (Armoury crate and G skill trident Z lighting control) there was a window of time where the pc had only the G skill software installed and not Armoury crate, during those hours the lights never froze, so I think the culript here is Armoury crate.

Do note that I tried also for several hours to control the lights with only Armoury crate installed in the pc and the lights still froze. It only got better around yesterday evening when I did the following.

I see you are using the G.Skill Software. I am not using any. Is the software for clocks and data transfer enhancements or is it for the lighting only? If so, uninstall that software and see if it freezes...maybe that is the problem.

Hello, for a week I have new RAM g.skill trident royal 4000Mhz cl18. I have downloaded g.skill rgb management software version: v1.00.22 (latest), but I have fewer options than older versions of the software. For example, I don't have a gradient option for rainbow. My processor is ryzen 7 5800x. Is this a temporary problem and will it be corrected?

The genomic region around ebony and In(3R)Payne shows marked differences for the trident and abdominal pigmentation GWAS. In contrast to its role in trident pigmentation, the inversion is not associated with female abdominal pigmentation. While variants around ebony, which are associated with abdominal pigmentation, also influence trident pigmentation, the variants most strongly associated with trident pigmentation have almost no effect on the female abdominal pigmentation GWAS (Supporting information Figure S5). We conclude that the regulatory variants segregating with In(3R)payne have a stronger effect on trident than on female abdominal pigmentation and that some variants around ebony are exclusively affecting trident pigmentation.

The genes tan and ebony encode enzymes with antagonist activities. Thus, the amount of melanin produced is directly linked to the expression ratio of ebony and tan, and as ebony is epistatic over tan (because Ebony's product is Tan's substrate), ebony must be expressed for tan to have an effect (Gibert et al., 2016). In situ hybridizations have shown that both genes are expressed in female abdominal epidermis (Gibert et al., 2016; Rebeiz et al., 2009). The expression of ebony in abdominal epidermis was shown to be regulated by the combination of activator and silencer elements distantly located (Rebeiz et al., 2009). The ebony regulatory sequences regulating its expression in the trident overlap with the activator element (Rebeiz et al., 2009). For tan, the tMSE element drives GFP expression in abdominal epidermis in males (Jeong et al., 2008) and females (Gibert et al., 2016) as well as in the trident (Gibert et al., 2018). This explains how SNPs located in this enhancer can affect both female abdominal pigmentation and the trident.
