Harry DeBonis and George Simonka founded Tri County Umpires Association in 2007 to respond to the growing need for qualified umpires in the Mercer County, New Jersey region. Beginning as a small umpire outfit, the two quickly expanded their influence throughout the area, soon welcoming Harry's son, Anthony, on board as an assignor. The organization swelled to over 100 members, with more than 20 local leagues who turned to TCUA for assistance. Over the past 17 years, TCUA has continued to increase its membership, while providing affordable umpire services to local and tri-state tournaments and recreational leagues across Mercer, Burlington, Monmouth, and Bucks (PA) County. Anthony DeBonis, who also assigns middle- and high-school games in Mercer County, continues the family tradition by serving as the organization's leader.
TCUA is proud to feature Guy Agron and Rob Riley as assignors; Rob has expanded our league coverage into basketball. George Simonka remains with the organization as an as assignor.
