If I have notifications on Facebook, I can only see the red dot showing them only if I enter into/open up the application itself. It does not show on any Facebook icon on the screen, either small or large screen. I allowed all notifications for Facebook, I took the application from saving battery, but the red dot still does not appear on the screen icon. Any idea why and any suggestions on how to fix it?

No, I am referring to red bubble or red dot that usually appears on Facebook icon from your screen, when you received likes, for example. You know that somebody liked your post because you see this red filled circle on Facebook icon. If smb liked 3 posts of you on Facebook, this will show no. 3 in the red bubble. So when you see this, you know you have reaction and get into the Facebook application to see who it was. Well, on my Z Fold 3, Facebook icon form both displays (cover display or inside large display) never shows the red dot/bubble/circle(whatever you call it) on top of Facebook icon. It looks like nothing happened, but if I click and open the FB application, I can see I have 3 notifications, showing the red bubble with no. 3 on the bell icon of Fb. I hope it is clear now, sorry, English is not my first language.

If you don't want the large and permission-hungry Facebook app on your phone, the perfect solution is to create an app icon for the Facebook mobile site on your home screen. The website version of Facebook doesn't run background tasks, has no distracting notifications by default, you won't be giving Facebook as much data, and your phone's battery life will be improved.

Here, you'll see a popup that lets you change what the new shortcut will be named. By default, it is set to "Facebook," which you can change, but you cannot change the icon. Press the "Add" button to add the bookmark to your home screen. After you have done this, the Facebook web app will be on your home screen.

Of course, if you are happily married, in a monogamous relationship, or simply not interested in hooking up with local hotties, you may not want the Dating icon shortcut tab taking up real estate on your smartphone's screen.

Whether or not you have activated Facebook Dating and set up an account, removing the Facebook Dating icon tab from your phone's home screen is very simple. Just tap on the "Dating" tab in the shortcuts menu along the bottom of your screen and then tap "Not Now."

Removing the Facebook Dating icon shortcut will delete it from your Facebook screen. If you want to access Dating in the future, you can do so from the main Facebook menu that you access by tapping on the three lines at the bottom right of your screen.

Accessing Facebook Marketplace is typically a straightforward process. If you're on Facebook desktop, you can access Facebook Marketplace by clicking the Marketplace icon in the main menu located on the left side of the screen.

Alternatively, Marketplace can be accessed on mobile devices from the Menu icon, located in the bottom right corner of the screen on iPhone and top right on Android. Tap Menu, then tap Marketplace to open Facebook Marketplace.

It's somewhat confusing when you can't find your favorite app icons on the home screen. It's even easy if you can remember the name of the missing app. But sometimes, you just notice a gap between your app grids, leaving you with an uncertainty of the missing app. If app icons keep disappearing on your Android device or iPhone, a variety of reasons can cause it. But on the flip side, they're what you can fix in no time. This article shows you how to restore missing apps on your phone.

Not only that, you may have accidentally disabled the app, or hide it from the launcher. Some phones like TECNO, Infinix, and itel also have a robust feature called 'Freezer', which allows you to freeze apps at your wish. The frozen app won't run, send notifications, or even show on your home screen until you unfreeze it. What's more, your launcher might be playing hide and seek with you.

And for iPhone users, you're likely going to encounter apps missing after upgrading to iOS 14. It's not a bug. It's because of the new App Library, which serves as an app drawer for iPhone users. Other reasons include removing the apps from your home screen manually or uninstalling it.

As said earlier, you might have disabled or froze the missing app unknowingly, which is the reason why it's not showing on your home screen. Disabling/Freezing an app is not equal to uninstalling it, however, meaning you can always re-enable it when needed.

With the introduction of App Library on iOS 14, iPhone users can now hide a whole page or pages on their home screen. These help you de-clutter your home screen by showing all the apps in the App Library. So, if you've hidden a page on the home screen before, the missing app you're looking for might be there.

One more thing about hiding home screen pages on iOS 14 is that newly installed apps won't show on your screen. They'll be moved to a separate folder called "Downloads" inside the App Library. If that's the case, all you need to restore the missing apps is to un-hide the hidden page.

Restoring hidden pages on your home screen doesn't mean you'll get back your missing apps. If you've mistakenly removed the apps from your home screen before hiding the page, restoring it won't make any difference or bring back the app you're looking for.

If the missing app is not showing in your App Library, which means it's no longer on your device. Perhaps, you have uninstalled it unconsciously. In that case, all you need is to search for the app on the App Store and reinstall it. Doing that will bring back the app icon to your home screen and the App Library. Meanwhile, you need to ensure you've not hidden any page on the home screen, or the app will show in the App Library alone.

Well, that's why Apple allowed users to create duplicate app icons across multiple Home Screens. This means your apps are always available to you, even if you show or hide certain screens in different Focus modes.

In the layout options, you can change the justification of the icons and also choose between horizontal or vertical orientation. And if you have a lot of icons, you might want to wrap around to multiple lines on smaller screens.

Ensure your phone has an active internet connection. Resetting your phone's network settings usually fixes common network glitches. If the issue persists, turn on and then turn off Airplane mode. On Android, swipe down on the home screen to turn on Airplane mode. On iPhone, open the Control Center from the upper-right corner to access Airplane mode.

Apps that are missing from both your home screen and the App Library are likely under content restrictions. You might have enabled them by accident if you use Screen Time for privacy.

Although restoring icons from the app library to your iPhone home screen is easy, repeating the same troubleshooting steps often is inconvenient. Make sure you address the reasons why shortcut icons suddenly go missing.

Your screenshot seems to be from your mobile screen, not from Brave browser.

So, I guess there is some kind of misunderstanding. The Brave widget is just the Brave search, it has no impact in the icons shown underneath. 589ccfa754
