TrendAtlas is a Chrome extension that helps users display available post statistics and sort content on Instagram and TikTok.
Data handling
TrendAtlas processes website content that is already available to the user on Instagram and TikTok pages. This may include post images, video thumbnails, links, publication dates, view counts, likes, comments, and other publicly displayed post statistics.
This information is processed locally in the user’s browser only to provide the extension’s core features. TrendAtlas does not transmit this information to the developer’s servers.
Local storage
TrendAtlas uses Chrome’s local storage to remember user preferences, including interface language, theme, panel position, display mode, post limit, and other extension settings. These settings remain on the user’s device and may be removed by clearing extension data or uninstalling the extension.
Data sharing
TrendAtlas does not sell, rent, or transfer user data to third parties. It does not use user data for advertising, credit assessment, or purposes unrelated to the extension’s functionality.
Remote code and external services
All executable code used by TrendAtlas is included in the extension package. The extension does not download or execute remote code. Instagram and TikTok remain subject to their own privacy policies when users access their websites or media.
