How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
If you want serious, all-day audio with real active noise cancellation and a huge battery, choose TREBLAB Z2; if you need a blackout sleep mask that plays music while you lie on your side, choose MUSICOZY Sleep Mask Headphones. These two share almost nothing except Bluetooth, and that is exactly why the choice is easy once you know how you'll actually use them.
• TREBLAB Z2 — biggest strength: Hybrid active noise cancellation, a 58-hour battery, and a proper over-ear build with a 40mm dynamic driver. Big trade-off: it's a full-size headphone (8.47 oz) meant for wearing upright, not for burying your face in a pillow.
• MUSICOZY — biggest strength: A 3D blackout eye mask with built-in headphones, built for side sleepers and travel rest. Big trade-off: 14+ hours of playback and no active noise cancellation — it's about blocking light and playing quiet audio, not about sound isolation.
• Connectivity gap: TREBLAB Z2 runs Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint and a 3.5mm jack; MUSICOZY runs Bluetooth 5.4 with a built-in mic.
• Buy TREBLAB Z2 if you want one headphone for commuting, calls, gaming and long flights.
• Buy MUSICOZY if your main problem is light leaking into your eyes at night and you want music or podcasts to fall asleep to.
The Z2 is a traditional over-ear headphone, and it's built like one. The enclosure mixes metal, plastic and rubber, the earcups are oval, and it folds into a hard carrying case that measures 8.1 x 3.75 x 6.5 inches. That case is the tell: this is a product designed to leave the house with you. It ships with a USB-C charging cable, a 3.5mm cable for wired listening, a quick-start guide and a warranty card, and TREBLAB backs it with a one-year manufacturer's warranty.
The 40mm dynamic drivers, 32-ohm impedance, 103dB sensitivity and 20Hz–20,000Hz range describe a conventional, easy-to-drive headphone — nothing exotic, but the kind of spec sheet that plays well with a phone or laptop without a headphone amp. IPX4 means sweat and light rain are fine, not swimming.
Who should buy it: commuters, remote workers, frequent flyers, and anyone who wants one pair of headphones for music, calls and gaming. The 33-foot Bluetooth range and foldable case make it a travel-first product.
Who should skip it: side sleepers, people who want to wear headphones in bed, and anyone who needs a headphone that disappears into a pocket. At 8.47 ounces with a hard case, this is not a sleep accessory — it's a piece of gear.
MUSICOZY Sleep Mask Headphones: Who It's For
MUSICOZY is a different category entirely. This is an eye mask first and a headphone second. The 3D concave eye cups are shaped to sit away from your eyes so nothing presses on your eyelids or lashes, and the nose wings plus a dedicated light-blocking layer are designed to cut out 100% of light. If you've ever taped a towel over your eyes because a hotel curtain didn't close, that design brief will make sense to you immediately.
The audio side is deliberately modest. It uses Bluetooth 5.4 with advanced acoustic drivers and a built-in microphone, so you get hands-free calling and streaming audio for music, podcasts or sleep sounds. There's no active noise cancellation — the isolation comes from the mask covering your ears' surroundings and, more importantly, from the fact that you're wearing it in a quiet room. Battery life is rated at 14+ hours after a two-hour charge, which is a full night plus a nap, and the battery is included.
Comfort is the whole point. The fabric is breathable bamboo cotton, and the strap is adjustable with silent velcro so you can fit it to your head without a ripping sound waking anyone. The purple color is the only option listed. It weighs 8 ounces and arrives in a compact 9.76 x 4.92 x 1.93-inch package — small enough to toss in a carry-on.
Who should buy it: side sleepers, shift workers, light sleepers, and travelers who want to block out cabin or hotel light while listening to something calm. It's also a reasonable pick for meditation and relaxation at home.
Who should skip it: anyone who wants serious sound quality, noise cancellation, or a headphone for commuting and calls during the day. Fourteen hours is a night, not a workweek, and the mask format means you won't be wearing it on a train platform.
• Best for battery life → TREBLAB Z2. 58 hours versus 14+ hours is not close.
• Best for sleep and side sleeping → MUSICOZY. The 3D eye cups and blackout design exist for exactly this.
• Best for noise cancellation → TREBLAB Z2. It has hybrid ANC; MUSICOZY has none.
• Best for blocking light → MUSICOZY. This is a 100% blackout eye mask with a nose-wing seal.
• Best for commuting and calls → TREBLAB Z2. Multipoint Bluetooth 5.3, a built-in jack and a hard case make it a daily driver.
• Best for falling asleep to audio → MUSICOZY. Bluetooth 5.4 with a mic and soft bamboo cotton fabric is built for lying down.
• Best for gaming and low latency → TREBLAB Z2. The 65ms gaming mode is a feature MUSICOZY simply doesn't offer.
• Best for travel packing → MUSICOZY. At 9.76 x 4.92 x 1.93 inches it packs flat; the Z2 travels in a hard case that takes up real bag space.
• Best for wired listening when the battery dies → TREBLAB Z2. The 3.5mm jack is your fallback.
In my opinion, most people shopping these two should buy the TREBLAB Z2. It's the more versatile product by a wide margin: active noise cancellation, 58 hours of playback, multipoint Bluetooth, a gaming mode and a wired fallback cover commuting, work, flights and gaming in one purchase. The MUSICOZY is excellent at one specific job — sleeping in the dark with audio — and if that's your job, nothing about the Z2 will satisfy you. But if you can only own one, I'd take the headphone that works all day over the mask that works all night.
