TRB Standing Committee on Advanced Concrete Materials and Characterization (AKM50)
Scope: This committee is concerned with basic research and emerging technologies related to hydraulic cement and other materials used in concrete. This includes nanotechnology, alternative cements, and the technologies used to evaluate and define concrete characterization, including non-destructive testing.

Welcome to a new year of TRB! TRB 2024 was a success! Thanks to everyone for helping review papers. This year twenty-seven (27) papers were assigned to AKM50 for review of which 12 were accepted for poster presentation, 10 for podium presentation, and 4 recommended for further assessment by the TRR Editorial Board. Our main committee meeting, held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, was well attended by committee members, friends, and other attendees.
