The Transportation Research Board (TRB) Standing Committee on Marine Environment (AW030) considers the environmental performance of the marine transportation system including ports, vessels, waterways and other maritime activities. These components of the maritime system can best be understood in the context of the efficient movement of goods and people in the regional and national economy. Working in coordination with other TRB Committees and Task Forces, the Committee considers the impact of other modes of transportation on the marine environment.
