The Empire State Building is probably the most famous skyscraper in the city of New York and perhaps of the world. With his 381 meters high (443 ms if the television spar is also considered on its top), it has been the tallest skyscraper of the world among its construction (1931) and 1973. After the terroristic attacks of September 11 th 2001 on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center , it has returned to be the tallest building in the city and the tallest second in the United States, (after the Sears Tower in Chicago) before the Freedom Tower overcame them both. It is one of the Seven wonders of the modern world.
