The White House is the official residence of the President of the United States from the first of November of 1800, the day when the second President of the United States, John Adams, moved there. It is located in Washington at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Together with the Capitol, the White House is the hub of US politics as well as a tourist attraction and one of the main symbols of Washington and the United States in the world.
